The Hunt Valley patrol force is made up of 5th and 6th grade students, led by the patrol sponsors.  Students who make up the safety patrol team exhibit strong qualities of leadership, citizenship, trustworthiness, and dependability.

The Hunt Valley patrols are responsible for keeping our school's students safe while they cross the street, walk through the building and ride the bus. The HVES patrols understand that safety comes first for all students and that the job of a patrol is very important and should be taken very seriously.

There are two types of patrols at Hunt Valley; walker patrols, and bus patrols. Walker patrols monitor the walking areas and make sure students cross the streets and walk to school safely. Bus patrols make sure students are safe getting on the bus and off the bus. They also monitor student behavior during the bus ride and would assist the driver during a bus evacuation.

The Hunt Valley Patrols have meetings monthly with the patrol sponsors.
